Holy Black Boogers Batman!

So today I breached the subject of complete awkwardness with my cross the hall neighbors/fellow students. I said during breakfast, "so uh... I've had some weird boogers lately... anybody else?" And they both chimed in and said "YES!" So  we determined since this is one of the MOST polluted cities in the world, that my nose properly works and filters a good bit of the shit I'm breathing in. My boogers are just totally black and gross mixed with a little bit of blood which I'm assuming is from the high altitude. Its nothing to be concerned about, just a little bit of bloody booger action.

Since none of you Questioned WTF "New Flower" means its the translation of Addis Ababa, the city where I'm staying... So there's a lil bit of info for you.

I've been hanging out with a SUPER awesome australian which makes me nostalgic of one of my previous trips abroad. I know... I travel way too much for a girl my age. But deal with it. How else are YOU going to see the rest of the world?

So we've hung out with Emperor Hailie Selasie the 1st  and his wife the other day, and Hung out at his house, and just chillin with an Emperor. Granted he is dead and I was at his tomb, but it TOTALLY still counts.

I'm in the process of dumping photos onto my laptop so in the next blog I'll show you that bastard tortoise that startled me. Which my roomie seems to think is super hilarious because of all the times she has startled me.

So we went to  a few churches, and usually you are supposed to cover your head and I felt really horrible and disrespectful because I didn't have my head scarf with me. The church people didn't seem to mind because we are fore in jers. Thats how they say foreigner. Its pretty funny. We went to an Ethiopian cultural museum and I got to check out Lucy. You know... that first skeleton we have thats "human." Unfortunately its a damn replica cause that bitch is on tour in the USA. WTF LUCY??!?!?!?!! I came all the way to Africa to see you and you sand me up!

I saw some cray lookin ancient animal bones, and all the skulls leading up to our homo erectus status. Its pretty cool and pics are coming up later. I will upload pics and write another blog this evening which will be maybe afternoon for yous guys.

I finished reading the Hunger games books and I'm totally pissed at how it ended. That third book sucked. I started reading the game of thrones book now and I kinda gotta press pause so I can read the book I have to write a report on. hahaha who thought I had to do school work on this silly little excursion? My professor did drop the term paper we had to write and now we just have to do class participation, some kind of make/show and tell project and two book reports on the novellas we have to read. They are far from romance but I just like the word novella.

We went to another church and got to hang out with a few other Ethiopian emperors as well. and their wives and saw all their crowns and all that jazz. Its pretty awesome! photos coming soon. I'm gonna see jesus' cross later in the next 7-9 days. so I'll ttyl.

ps, jet lag has been one horrible bitch to me. I have yet to adjust completely to ethiopia time and I'm waking up at 5am after staying up til 1am so I can exhaust myself. Tonight I bust out the Ambien cause I'm sick of waking up. I want to get up at 7 and get my day going. not wake up at 5 and be tired and grouchy all day. Tonight the battle with time travel is won.
