So here I am in Jordan chillin on the pool side area.
This photo was COMPLETELY illegal as this is a holy place, but none of us actually knew it before it was too late. whoops.
This is Emperor Hailie Sellasie and His wife.
Lions and their super cute cuddlez!
What is bound to become my new Family crest. A Giant Tortoise. They just roam around here like its nothin. Hey, I'm a turtle, and I'm chillin. Get outta my way!
Lions are the symbol of royalty here. So there are lions EVERYWHERE left behind from the last empire.
This was just pretty art in the museum. Feel free to explain it cause I don't know what it is and it didn't have and explaination.
One of the first cars in Ethiopia. Ford. Built tough.
So there are some photos I promised! Yeah, its been SUPER educational out here, but I am learning tons, and struggling with communication a little bit. We have a pseudo guide that helps out a LOT. Tomorrow or Sunday we are going to journey out into the mountains and see the True Cross, and a church that was built into the ground. So all that means is that I won't be checking in for about a week. I'll let you know. The lady in the internet center set up my laptop to remember the connection so now I don't actually have to pay for internet anymore. I just have to sit within range of the signal and with a decent battery charge. Unlike the one I have now. No wifi anywheres so no checking in on the Yelps for my Leens.
While I've been away my Loving Lover Alexha has been busy at work finding us a new home with my mom. So hopefully by the time I get back I just have to glance at a couple places and we will have an apt before its too late! Huzzah! Thanks for helping Alexha hunt mommy! I like having a home.
I do realize my purpose here whether it be destiny from the Divine or the Universe pushing me. But last night we had our first round of drinks. It only cost me 1.50USD. Baller. So last night we were chatting at a bar and we got on the topic of relationships and my psychology psychobabble came out. I can't really help it at times, but we exchanged information on how things work, how things don't work and how to help fix problems that he was having. I think I might be here to help others with their problems. Too bad I don't have one of me to talk to myself! hah! But yeah, a lot of the students have come to me in some shape form or fashion and talk to me and my helpful knowledge of psychology helps them. Maybe they need to vent to a third party, or whatever... But I am here to help! I always have been and always will I suppose.
It was fun to finally get out and relax. I am super paranoid to leave the hotel by myself. Ain't gonna happen for me. I don't want to get snatched by pirates and or harassed by people trying to sell me a map of the world that is several years old. Some of those countries don't even exist anymore...
But I got over SOME of my super guilt because someone explained to me that my mere presence in the country spending money is helping their economy. I give money to some poor folks here and there, I tip all my waiters (its mandatory, they include it in the bill), and I hope that someday this place gets it together and becomes the great country it once was.
I'd make this longer but my battery is about to die. Toodles loved ones!
Alyssa.
